NETLS DIE CUTTING CATALOG COLLECTION

DESCRIPTION OF THE DIE CUTTING COLLECTION

The Northeast Texas Library System (NETLS) Die Block Collection contains commercially manufactured "master" blocks used in die cutting machines to produce various patterns and shapes. Each block produces one or more shapes or patterns. Die shapes may be used to create displays, signs, posters, nametags, and craft projects. Die blocks in this collection may be used with either Ellison® or AccuCut® die cutting machine systems.

WHO CAN USE THE COLLECTION?

The collection is available for loan to libraries that have a Letter of Agreement on file at NETLS Headquarters. Additionally, die blocks may be made available for loan to patrons at the discretion of the borrowing library. As per the Letter of Agreement, borrowing libraries are responsible to NETLS for any loss or damage to die blocks or their shipping containers that may occur while they are booked to that library. Only registered library staff members may book materials.

LOAN PERIOD

Die blocks can be borrowed for a period of 1 to 13 days. Borrowing libraries must contact NETLS Media Services to request any extension to the original loan period..

Returning materials late may cancel another library's booking; always call to extend loan periods. Libraries that repeatedly return items late may have their borrowing privileges suspended.

BORROWING MATERIALS

Library staff members who are registered with NETLS Media Services can book materials online through WebBOOK©, the NETLS online booking system, from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., 7 days a week.

  • You must be logged into WebBOOK to book dies directly through the Die Block Catalog. Follow the logon directions in the "Booking Help" section of WebBOOK. To access the WebBOOK© online system, click here.

  • Schedule materials at least 14 days in advance to allow for processing and mailing time. Requests for use dates under the 14 day period will not be honored.

  • Plan for alternate use dates and/or die blocks in case the ones you request are not available on the preferred dates.

  • Die blocks are fragile and dangerous; the steel blades embedded in the foam are very sharp. Handle them with care. Please be sure the cardboard protectors are in place over the foam when die blocks are replaced in the padded envelopes prior to ship-ping. Return them to NETLS in the same shipping containers in which they were received.
