To determine your discount, find out which school district your library is located in.
Contact the school district and ask for the person who works with the
e-rate. Obtain
the total number of students eligible for the free/reduced lunch
program and the total number of students in the school district.
However, if the school district cannot supply that information, then
go to http://www.tea.state.tx.us/technology/erate/data2002/index.html
for the latest information. Enter the name of the school
district(s) your library serves. The results will give you the
number of students eligible and the total number of students in the
school district.
In order to determine your discount,
you must also verify your rural or urban classification. Don't
assume. Go the this link http://www.sl.universalservice.org/reference/msa/default.asp
to verify your classification.
Once you have completed the tasks
above, calculate your discount by following the instructions at the
site below. These instructions include the latest method for
figuring your discount. http://www.sl.universalservice.org/reference/Discount.asp#library
Next, enter
the discount in
the blank on instruction #3. Then, continue with the worksheet.
